Department of Prosthodontics and Implantology started its undergraduate training in 2005 and PostGraduate in 2013 with a Moto of ‘Total Rehabilitation for a Better Smile’. The department maintains an impressionable amalgamation of clinical, academic and research activities giving good diagnosis and treatment for patients for replacing missing teeth and associated oral structures using state of art materials and techniques. The department practices standard operative procedures at subsidised rates without any compromise in the quality of the work.
This department is functioning with 8 faculty members who are highly trained for enduring sophisticated treatments for restoring lost teeth with removable complete and partial dentures, fixed options utilising crown and bridges and with the advanced fixed options using dental implants and also fabricate prosthesis for maxillofacial deformity patients. The staff is keen to expertise their knowledge and skill for training the undergraduate and postgraduate students in their academic and clinical activities. The staffs have given various guest lectures, orations, and presented scientific papers nationally and internationally. We have 9 post graduate students who are trained to carry out conventional and complex prosthodontic cases under the supervision of expert faculty members. They are also trained for various laboratory phases of prosthodontics in the areas of fixed and removable partial dentures, implant prosthodontics, maxillofacial prosthesis and TMJ disorders conservative treatments. The post graduate students are guided to take various clinical and material research activities, paper presentations, poster presentation and have succeeded to achieve
1st place in these projects annually.

The under graduate students are given the opportunity to give the best treatment to the patients under the expert supervision of their individual mentors. They are trained to be competent to carry out he basic replacement treatment options required for their normal clinical practice. Also they are trained for research activities giving opportunity to do short research studies.
The DORA ( Dental Operating Room Assistance) students are individually trained for managing the front office, reception, record keeping, patient management and dental auxiliary assistance programme under the guidance of the allotted faculty incharge.

DEPARTMENT OF PROSTHODONTICS AND CROWN AND BRIDGE
Department trains the postgraduate student in advanced teeth replacement techniques with the support of dental implants starting from diagnosis, treatment planning, implant placement and prosthetic rehabilitation for single tooth and full mouth cases.

TMJ Clinic — This department is one of the few colleges to have a separate TMJ clinic with a specialised dentist for conservative treatment for the TMD disorders utizing T-SCAN and EMG.
